Photography Track
The photography of Victor Paul Borg is mostly documentary-style in the broad subjects of lifestyle, travel,
culture, food, geography, and landscape. Geographically, the larger part of the body of photographic work produced
by Victor is rooted in Southeast Asia and China, the two areas that are one of his main stomping grounds. Pictures
taken by Victor are published around the world in books and magazines and websites, and he has undertaken
prestigious commissions for large publishers – these include taking the pictures of an entire 200-page pictorial
guide to London published by Penguin, one of the world’s premiere
publishers.
Over the years he has also designed and taught photography courses for amateur photographers – these include a
course in general photographic theory and technique that he taught for two years in Malta, a course that had a
component of theory and practice. On a similar vein, Victor is occasionally engaged by private groups to design and
lead interesting photography tours (which have mostly taken place in the Himalayas); these involve practical
tutoring or coaching in photography during the journey itself – itineraries are designed to maximize variety of
locations and give the chance to participants to learn to photography different things (including landscapes,
nature, food, people, architecture, and so on), and in that way get to learn the techniques employed in different
subgenres of photography.
