Long experience in tourism worldwide – as a travel writer and photographer, an adventure
traveller, a tourism consultant, a tour designer, and a tour leader – has given Victor an insight that serves
him well for any project or job involving consultancy and marketing about tourism. Victor is not someone who
studied tourism at university and knows things theoretically; the value of using Victor is that he has a
sense – gleaned from long experience – for what works in tourism business. Such palpable sensibilities and
practical knowledge make him an invaluable and effective consultant for tourism projects. Add to this his
marketing acumen, including extensive magazine contacts and his knowledge of international travel media, and
you have someone whose rare combination of insights and contacts make him invaluable in designing and
implementing effective marketing campaigns or strategies in the area of travel.
Victor has done various jobs in consultancy and marketing for tourism entities. Past clients
include the diving association of Gozo, Malta, an upscale hotel chain in Thailand, and the tourism board of
Deyang prefecture in China. And, one of his latest consultancies was to design a concept for fishing tourism
in the Mediterranean for a project carried out under the auspices of the Euromed Heritage programme within
the European Union. Victor was engaged to formulate and present the concept – and parameters for
implementation – of experiential fishing tourism in the Mediterranean, a presentation he delivered during a
special workshop held in Tunis. At the workshop, Victor was the “key speaker”, and his presentation was
