A small contribution goes a long way in sustaining this website

The technical cost for keeping this website operational – hosting services, security services, content delivery optimization, subscriptions and mailings, and so on – costs more than €100 every month.

Then there is the content: it takes considerable time, effort, and resources to produce the high-quality content I publish. I rely on donations to continue doing this work, but the inexorable truth is that income from donations is meagre in relation to the costs and effort involved in publishing and running this website.

In this situation, I have had to become something of a workaholic and juggle two roles: assignments and projects for private clients in parallel to publishing on this website. That means that I do not have time for any social life whatsoever, and I earn much less than the average wage and not much more than the minimum wage.

I have no qualms; it’s the life I chose. But the bottom line remains the bottom line: I need money, even if my needs are modest by most people’s standards.

So, if you value what I publish on this website – and yes, my publishing does make an impact even if it is not dramatically apparent – please spare me a donation to fund publishing on this website. The more I make in donations, the more publishing I can deliver.

The target I have set for annual donations is very modest – just €3,600 annually, which, once the technical costs are covered, that leaves around €200 every month. I am sure you agree that the work I publish – both on this website and, separately, on my social media channels – is worth much more than €200 every month if it had to be half-decently – never mind decently – renumerated.
